You and Others (Prezi)

I created a presentation using Prezi. I used a lesson plan from uen.org titled Physical Education-4th Grade, Standard 2: Students will exhibit responsible personal and social behavior that respects self and others in physical activity settings. I used the both Objective. 
Educational Technology-(Grades 3-5) Standard 5: Use technology tools (e.g., multimedia authoring, presentation, web tools, digital cameras, scanners) for individual and collaborative writing, communication, and publishing activities to create knowledge products for audiences inside and outside the classroom.
Students' will be able to view this presentation at school or at home. I hope they will have a better understanding on how people should treat one another when doing physical activity.

Comparing (Google Forms)

I created a quiz using google forms. I used a lesson plan from uen.org, titled English Language Arts 5th Grade, Reading Literature Standard 3: Compare and contrast two or more characters, settings, or events in a story or drama, drawing on specific details in the text (e.g., how characters interact).
Educational Technology - (Grades 3-5) Standard 5: Use technology tools (e.g., multimedia authoring, presentation, web tools, digital cameras, scanners) for individual and collaborative writing, communication, and publishing activities to create knowledge products for audiences inside and outside the classroom.
You should have read Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone either in or outside of class. When you take this quiz it will let me know if you understand what is going on in the story. If you read the book it should not be hard so please read the book before you take the quiz! This assignment is due on March 27, 2015.

Beginning of American Independence (Tiki-Toki)

I created a timeline about American Independence by using Tiki-Toki. I used a lesson plan from uen.org, titled Social Studies-5th grade, Standard 2: Students will understand the chronology and significance of key events leading to self-government. I used both objectives.
Educational Technology-(Grades 3-5) Standard 6: Use telecommunications efficiently and effectively to access remote information and communicate with others in support of direct and independent learning and for pursuit of personal interests.
With this timeline you will be able to know what happened during that time period. I encourage you to remember this event that happened because it is how America got it's independence. History is important to learn and this timeline will help you understand what happened. Timelines are always good to view because they help people with what events happened and when it happen.

Adding and Subtracting (Google Docs)

I created an assignment for my students using google docs. I used a lesson plan from uen.org titled Mathematics-1st Grade, Work with Addition and Subtraction Equations. I used number 7: Understand the meaning of the equal sign, and determine if equations involving addition and subtraction are true or false. I also used 8: Determine the unknown whole number in an addition or subtraction equation relating three whole numbers.
 Educational Technology - (Grades 3-5) Standard 8: Use technology resources (e.g., calculators, data collection probes, videos, educational software) for problem-solving, self-directed learning, and extended learning activities.
This work sheet should not be hard if you listen to the lecture in class. I hope when you get done with this work sheet you will have a better knowledge on how to add and subtract properly. If you need any help on this assignment please print the work sheet off and bring to class on April 3, 2015 and I will help you with it. You will still get full credit. This assignment is due by April 3, 2015 by 3:00 pm.

Planets of the Solar System (Animoto)

I created a video using Animoto.com. I used a lesson plan from uen.org understand Science-6th Grade, Standard 3:Students will understand the relationship and attributes of objects in the solar system. I used the three objectives to make my video.
Educational Technology - (Grades 3-5) Standard 8: Use technology resources (e.g., calculators, data collection probes, videos, educational software) for problem-solving, self-directed learning, and extended learning activities.
With this video students' will be able to know where the planets are in the solar system and their names. I encourage students' to watch this video and remember the names because they will need to know them in the future. I might do a quiz on the planet names so keep an eye out for that assignment.

Moon Phases On Earth (Mind Maping)

I used bubble.us to create a mind map on Science. I also used a lesson plan from uen.org titled Science-6th Grade, Standard 1: Students will understand that the appearance of the moon changes in a predictable cycle as it orbits Earth and as Earth rotates on its axis. I used objective 1 and 2.
Educational Technology - (Grades 3-5) Standard 8: Use technology resources (e.g., calculators, data collection probes, videos, educational software) for problem-solving, self-directed learning, and extended learning activities.
 This mind map is an example. Students will be able to look at this mind map and understand the moons phases better. They can use this mind map as a reference when they create their own in the future. Mind maps are wonderful because they help you write essays, stories, or other ways of writing. They also might help with studying as well.

Improvements on stress and mental health (Pinterest)

I created a board using Pinterest. I used a lesson plan from uen.org titled Health Education-6th Grade, Standard 1: The students will learn ways to improve mental health and manage stress. I used all four objectives for my board.
Educational Technology-(grades 3-5) Standard 6:Use telecommunications efficiently and effectively to access remote information and communicate with others in support of direct and independent learning and for pursuit of personal interests.
 Students' will understand what they can do to improve mental health and manage stress. They can also look at some examples to improve their self esteem and how to control their emotions. This Pinterest board is to inspire students' to have good health through out their life.

Staying Healthy (Glogster)

I used glogster to create a poster for my 3rd grade class. I used a lesson plan off of uen.org titled Health-3rd grade, Standard 6: The students will understand how a healthy diet and exercise can increase the likelihood of physical and mental wellness. I used all four objectives.

Similar but Different (Storybird)

I created a story by using storybird. This book will help students' understand that they are similar but different from their parents. Students' will be able to use the book as a reference. Parents may use this book to let their child know how they are different and similar to them. This book also explains animal and plant offspring and how they are similar and different from their parents.
I used a lesson plan from uen.org, titled Science -1st Grade, Standard 4: Students will gain an understanding of Life Science through the study of changes in organisms over time and the nature of living things. I used both objectives for a guide.

Progressing in Language Arts (Newsletter)

I made a Newsletter for my students' parents.  When parents read this newsletter they will understand what I expect from their children. They will know what strategy I'm using to teach their children. Parents will be able to click on the link and know what is going on in class for language arts. Students and parents will be able to use this newsletter for a reference if they have any questions about my teaching.
I used a lesson plan from uen.org, titled English Language Arts-3 Grade, Reading: literature Standard 1: Ask and answer questions to demonstrate understanding of a text, referring explicitly to the text as the basis for the answers.

Weather effects (google presentation)

I made a google presentation  for my kindergarten students'. This presentation talks about rocks, wind, and weather. I used science - kindergarten, second standard: Earth and Space Science. Students will gain an understanding of Earth and Space Science through the study of earth materials, celestial movement, and weather. from uen.org for a guide.

Similar and Different (Brochure)

I created a Brochure for my students', so they can use the brochure for studying. This brochure will help them know how they are different but similar to those around them. They will be able to understand the meaning of similar and different. They will be able to realize that even when someone is different its ok because everyone is different.
 I used a lesson plan from uen.org, titled Social Studies-Kindergarten, Standard 1: (Culture): Students will recognize and describe how individuals and families are both similar and different. I used both objectives as a guide.

Science Activity Flyer

I created a Flyer for my students' to take home and invite their parents to our Science Activity. I encourage all parents to come (if they can). The children have worked hard on their assignments and would love to present it to every one.
